Oh what a night

So, yesterday was Christmas.
And for the most part, I was a happy girl.

I got some tummy time in front of the fire (perfecting my front to back roll).

But then they insisted on putting me in this ridiculous get-up.
Not the best look for my cankles.

No worries though.
I settled into Mom's arms and made the best of the situation.

Catch ya later Christmas 2011.

Peace on earth...

Merry Christmas, people!

Last night I met cousin Jeanise for the first time. She held me for the first 30 minutes of church to give Mom's arms a break. Phew!

That was prior to my first Wigilia. And before-meal-bread-breaking.
Grandpa was nice enough to help me out.

He even held me and offered some of course #9 - Beef Barley Soup.
I preferred my hands.

Wigilia takeaway? Two words: cabbage and potato.
But pierogi is what I'm holding out for...

I woke up happy.
And grateful for my wonderful family on this, my first Christmas Day.

Let the spoiling commence

Welcome to 1129, Maizey.

It took your mom 11 years of begging and pleading to get her horse.

You? Five minutes and no talking.

Fetal pole to femme fatale

On January 20, 2010, Will and I got our first glimpse of the nufkin
we'd come to call Maizey.
But back then, she was just a fetal pole, aka: F.P.

And now?

Like sand through an hourglass...

Bunting up

My Great Aunt Robin made these wool, hand-embroidered buntings
for my mom (right) and her cousin Molly.

And now, I am getting heaps of mileage out of my mom's, 33 years later.

Thanks, Aunt Robin!
