Miracle of miracles - the Monte chair arrived - finally completing Crazy Miss Maisey's room. Though given a 6-8 week delivery window, Elephant Ears estimated 4 weeks. But 4 weeks passed, then 5, then 6... Then one day I checked my Collard Green Dogs email account and discovered messages from Monte and the store. Apparently, Elephant Ears lost my phone number and the chair had been sitting at Detroit Metro Airport for weeks. They tracked me down via my profile on Etsy. It's a strange strange world.
The delivery man, DJ, was a total drip. He would deposit the furniture no further than the kitchen. And even that took some sweet talking (and me pointing out the threatening looking clouds when he attempted to leave it outside).
But at least now I have someplace to rock, or rather "glide," my baby.
And the room looks great.
