Day Four - Monday, August 1

Day four . . . by Nannah Kip

I was a bit puzzled this morning when I didn't get my morning walk with Will and the little lady. But later, they explained it was because Miss Sweet Pants needed a check up. Maggie and Will took her to see Dr. Schindler in Novi. He's a very nice man.

He listened to her heart and lungs.

Weighed her - she's down 8 ounces. Not too bad.

Measured her length. Amazingly, she shrunk 1.5" since she left the hospital. Down to 19". Maggie and Will are going to stick with the first one. The family could use a little extra height.

And Will changed her. She's a wet one!

Overall, prognosis was good. She just needs to eat more and spend plenty of time in the sun. Maggie's in charge of the former, while Will and I are handling the latter. When they got back, we got right to it with a walk. Unfortunately, the olds didn't have time to get the real deal stroller, so we rocked the snap and go. A titch bumpy but doable.

Maisey coped by sucking her hand. Industrious, I'd say!

It was pretty steamy outside so the Edible Arrangement we got from Shari and Tony, and Amy and Mike, was a great refreshment! I got some grapes out of the deal. Thanks, guys!

After an indoor nap, we headed outdoors for more sun time.

Maggie was elated about her pepper - finally turning yellow after a month. I didn't have the heart to tell her it was because I pee on it every chance I get.

And after all that, we rested.
Owen has a lot to learn!
