Spring has sprung directly into summer, it seems. These shots were taken March 16, when I was 7 months+ 2 weeks+3 days old and it was an amazing 77 degrees. I didn't know quite what to make of the grass, but it was alright since Mom had a Grandma Betty blanket down for me (and Kip too). We brought the fun inside to try to get some standard monthly shots, but I just didn't want to cooperate. I wanted to laugh, grab my toes, roll onto my belly and M.O.V.E. (right off the bed), all while attempting to eat my 7-month sticker. So Mom got me naked and let me go.
Seven month highlights? I'm a big girl. Mom and Dad guess I'm about 20 pounds (an educated guess helped along by Uncle Pete's postal scale). My favorite food is yogurt. I especially like when it's mixed with pureed pears. I've just started feeding myself yogurt puffs. (Meaning? I mash my hand into my mouth until they dissolve.) I'm fascinated by fasteners. Zippers, clasps, clips, buckles and buttons keep me rapt. (Today I spent 8 minutes fiddling with the clasp on the car seat.) I am starting to wave when prompted with a "hi" or a "bye" and sometimes respond to "soooooo big." I don't crawl on all fours yet but army crawl to get whatever I want (I'm especially speedy when Kip's paw's in view). Sometimes I sit up on my own but I often fall over. Why? Because I always want something that's just out of reach. My belly and chin are ticklish and Dad loves to get me giggling. Bedtime was 7:15, but now that daylight savings time is here, it's more like 8. I love looking at other babies - in books or in person. And I still love my mom most of all.
(Seven month lowlight? I just got my first stomach bug - and on school picture day, no less.)
