Family of four

On Saturday, after bidding Grandma Betty farewell and a afternoon siesta, we headed down to the Milford Community Picnic - our first outing as family of four. (You may remember last year, when Grandma was with us?) It was a glorious fall day (80 degrees and sunny), and just what I needed postpartum.

Maizey was thrilled to catch up with Rocky, her polka dot pony friend from Highland Hey Days.

Hula hooping was quite the attraction - though neither of us was successful at a full rotation.

Though now we have something to work toward for next year.

So, instead, we watched the competition.
From plastic covered (?) hay bales.

The gig included free cider and donuts.
Or, in Maizey's case, cider and the cinnamon and sugar licked off a donut.

My "little boy" got lots of compliments.

 My loves.

And, because it was a special day, we ended it with a Dairy-Queen's-closing-for-the-season-ice-cream-dinner.

Happy Autumn, All!
