My Pete

Did you hear? Uncle Pete came for a visit! (Or, as Maizey refers to him, when they are parted, in a sobbing tone... "My Peeeeeeeete...") He delivered a new custom-built PC for me (no - not what he does for a living - just a "hobby" - he's amazing with anything technical), and glow bracelets, punching balloons and silly string for Lady. The latter was less of a hit than he'd hoped but he redeemed himself with his bananas bubble-blowing skills...

 Pretty impressive, right?

Maizey was enamored.

Here, I think she's getting a technical lesson on bubbles. Grandpa Bob gives science lessons. Uncle Pete gives technical ones.

After all the fun, she had to take a hike.
With her shovel.

Unfortunately, though, she wiped him out so completely that Saturday night he fell asleep on his hands, and woke up unable to use his wrists. Honest. So I got him some braces and Maizey hammed it up with her new Robo-Uncle.

It was an awesome visit and we're hoping he comes back soon
(or sooner, rather than later)...

P.S. Three weeks later and no wrist improvement. Diagnosed as radial nerve disfunction there isn't a lot to do but wait. And hope. Reason #847 to think before having kids... They exhaust you so completely you lose wrist function.
