Last week Will and I brought Maizey to her one year well-visit.
There was some reading in the waiting room.
Stroller-rides in the exam room.
Some corner exploration.
And then we got down to business.
Head and length measurement... M is 30.75" long, which puts her in the 90-95 percentile. Her head is keeping up, thank goodness. At 18.5", it's also the 90-95 percentile.
She was sort of over the visit shortly after the exams began, as evidenced by her face.
Or maybe it was her 22 lb. 4 oz. weight, which placed her in only the 78 percentile. More french toast in her future, I think.
Unfortunately, her mood went swiftly downhill once Doc Kendall entered the room, prompting the physician to refrain from vaccinations. We had to schedule a return visit, which took place yesterday.
Poor little lady had no idea what was in front of her.
And her totally silly Childtime hairdo made it that much harder to watch her get stuck.
She was pretty patient, though.
And spent a lot of time chatting with Dad.
It was his responsibility to take photos of the shots, since I was the heavy - holding her down. Unfortunately, he was so traumatized by her screeches that he failed to snap even one. But, we do have paper-proof that Maizey received her MMR, HiB, Varicella and PCV13. One in each leg and one in each arm. OUCH! But totally necessary - she's protecting herself and those around her. Right, Cousin Molly? *wink*
