Fun at the fair

On the final day of our Summer 2012 Escanaba vacay, Mom and Gram introduced me to a senosry overload that is the U.P. State Fair.

It brought back lots of memories for Mom, since she and Sugar 'n' Spice, her Arabian/Quarter Horse mix, used to spend the week there.

The witty signage.

The ad-hoc living rooms erected in dairy and beef barns.

The Croatian chicken vendor.

The deliciously adorable swine, unaware of the fate awaiting them the post-4H sale.

 The pine tree parking lot.

 And the ubiquitous horse-ring dust.

I enjoyed all of it. Especially the animals.

Petting a chick.

Walking the Miracle of Life barn.

 Hello Mr. Alpaca.

Admiring the latest in fair fashion. (Mom thinks Project Runway should take these guys on as a challenge.)

And being harassed by cheeky sheep.

(He loved my bougie stroller.)

And I...
had a wonderful time. (Next year Dad's coming along.)
