Really, Mom? A sticker?
Mom gives up. I win. And I eat.
Yes. Maizey is nearly 9 months. Will be on Saturday, in fact. But I was tardy with 7 months as well, so at least the growth is accurate. Why so late? Well . . . life. It's busy. I don't know how outside-the-home working mamas do it. And single mamas? Moms of multiples? Don't even want to ponder it.
But I am soaking up my marvelous, sassy little ham bone. Eight month highlights? She loves smiling at strangers. Juts out her chin, bares her two choppers and gives 'em a grin. (But watch out - she's got four teeth coming in up top.) Yesterday she mastered all-fours crawling. She loves to bang her toys together. And eat puffs. And sneak puffs to Kip. (Number two fave food? Yogurt.) She loves to drink (or fake-drink) ice water out of a glass. (Thanks to Grandpa Bob/Flannel.) She's got a royalty-worthy wave. Sometimes she plays shy and burrows her face into Mama's shoulder. (And admittedly, Mama kind of likes it.)
On a different note, last week was a bit of a whirlwind. Gram and Gramps departed. Maizey was diagnosed with her second ear infection. I was in the office three days. We had Jack, Jaclyn and Mark for dinner. We participated in the Great Cloth Diaper Change and had an eventful trip to Lowes (yay room darkening window-wear). We had to cut down another tree. And the teething monster moved into Maizey's mouth. Pics to come...
