Life be crazy.

Life. is. so. busy.

I. am. so. tired.

Each day is like riding a roller coaster, blindfolded. Sometimes it's a gentle cruiser, leaving me smiling. Other times it's a rotating Demon Drop and Millennium Force combo, leaving me frenzied and in despair.

99.9% of the time I'm totally dazed.

So instead of updating the blog in this rare moment of peace, I am going to nap.

More soon. Well, maybe soon.

Fire up, Gram!

Grandma Betty and Grandpa Bob came for a visit a few weeks ago, following their sojourn through the Netherlands. A highlight? Memorial Day bonfire with THE bonfire queen.
Though it wasn't on Lake Michigan, in her backyard, she was still happy as a toasted marshmallow.

Will was there to facilitate.
(But admittedly, I micromanaged his fire-making. Shocker.)

And yeah,
Maizey was there. Lu was snoozing.

In true Breclaw form, Maizey got a serious s'more-prep lesson.

(With a Grandma twist - sampling ALLOWED!)

This was followed by a serious roasting lesson...

"Rotate and concentrate..."
(Evidence as to why I am such a freak-a-zoid about my bonfire/s'more making...)

But not too serious...
YAY!

Followed by the sweet, sweet reward...

 Even Kip got some...

 And then, a fireside chat...

 Oh what a night...

p.s. Yes, our roasting sticks were actually repurposed snow plow markers. Betty has since replaced with proper metal, forked, extendable units.

 p.p.s. I was there too...

Father's Day 2014

Oh Happy Day...

Last year they rode a camel. The year prior we went to a Tiger game.
This year Maizey completed this survey for Will, with me playing scribe.
"big as Mommy..." Pretty nice, hey?

Then, she completed her own with me asking questions.

Her answers changed, but were just as cute.

p.s. Love to Daddy Bob!

More mows

Well, on Saturday Lucy took a spin.

Only complication was that I couldn't get any front-facing shots for fear of sending her into a "MAMA" calling fit.

And, then Ms. 38 lbs, and nearly 3 years old had to have a turn.

Poor Dad.

To this, add four yards of mulch spreading and a two-child-trailer-pulling 12 mile bike ride and you can guess where Dad is right now.
Sleeping.
With ice on his quads.
And visions of a childless, wifeless life.

After: Lucy's Room

Last, but definitely not least, dear Lucy's room. The girl has more space than she knows what to do with. (After co-sleeping with Mom and Dad for the first six months of her life, she handled the transition remarkably well. In true Lucy fashion.)

(From bathroom)

Curtains and wall-art to come. As well as a closet build-out.

And my personal favorite piece:
Balloons by Grandma Betty. Truly a work of art.

Afters: Jill & Jill Bath

On to the addition...
First, the Jill & Jill bath. ;)

Both girls have access to the sink room from their bedrooms.
The toilet/bath/shower is in a separate room.
