Unplugged Thursday

Busy, technology-driven days around this house. In addition to my twenty-hours at Bloomfield Hills Schools plunked in front of a monitor, I've taken on a pretty comprehensive, very cool freelance design job, and, been asked, on an interim basis, to join my former colleague, Betsy, as a designer at University of Michigan two days a week. So I'm tabling my Blogger penance and unplugging from personal computer time when I can. Instead, I'll do my best. Which most likely will be the occasional post, until I can settle back into less scattered, less computer-centric routine.

Here are some shots from a recent non-monitor dominated, crazy Maizey Thursday.

First, a trip to the doc. Crazy Maizey has become moody Maizey. We wanted to double check it was an attitude problem and not a raging ear infection.
Good news. Bad news. It wasn't a raging ear infection.

At least we discovered a fun new book,
which we promptly added to the Amazon wishlist.

Then, SWIMMING!

And blow drying...

After a moody pre-nap, and decent lie-down, we headed outdoors for a couple hours to enjoy the sun.
And do some shopping.

Lady picked rocks off the lawn
(and then dumped them back onto it).

And marched around with whatever she could find in the garage,
including the damn "collapsible" beach sunshade that is absolutely impossible to collapse, and therefore, will never be opened/used again.

Meanwhile, I attempted to stow away winter toys, which resulted in some screeching,
 and driveway sledding.
You can't see him, but Mr. Owl is going for a concrete pull.

It was a busy, joyful, uncomputer day.
Please bear with me while Enlarging Marge is neglected and I enjoy more of these...
