Controlled chaos

As the rest of the nation (minus Chicago - did you hear?) went back to school, we went back to Milford Library story time.

Our first was last fall, on September 26, when Maizey was nine weeks old.
"Baby Fun" story time. Relaxing. Lots of mom chats. Cooing. Quiet.

We've since graduated to "Tiny Tots" story time, for "walkers" 12-24 months. As the librarian explained during session #1 - it's the perfect example of controlled chaos.
Maizey was enamored with all the other kids.

Until she got all "Mean Girl" -
And intentionally knocked over her new friend Hannah. (See the push coming?)

Luckily there was a book to distract her.
Or, a librarian...

The end of the session is more like a surrender.
The toys come out. Moms stop trying to keep babies on laps. And they play.

Faves this time around?
Leo.

And,
Sam.

What can I say? She likes the boys...
