My mom is finally getting around to posting some pics of my time in the Banana (what Uncle Pete calls Escanaba.) Mom was really excited to show me where she hopes I'll spend some summers.

First, we took in the yacht harbor, where Uncle Pete spends a lot of time testing out his products.
Then, we went by the historic lighthouse. Grandma knows a lot about it, since she volunteers at the museum next door.
Mom didn't want me to think that was the only lighthouse though, so she pointed out the real one.

And then Grandma had to show me the oar boats. Obviously, I found it riveting.
On a different day, we took in Farmer's Market - a little different than the market I visited with Great Aunt Robin, but a market nonetheless. Grandma knew everybody! And bought from everybody she knew. She's a nice lady.
Mom said that a trip to Escanaba wasn't complete without a walk to Scoops, so she and Uncle Pete sacrificed for me and brought me over there. To make it worth the trip, Mom had to forgo the small for a medium. (Between us, I think she misses when she was allowed to enlarge.) Uncle Pete kept an eye on me to be sure I didn't try to sneak a slush.
I think I'm going to like this place!
