Sh*t Crunchy Mamas Say

Marge here. Though I battle against labeling people, because I think nobody can fit into just one category, I love this vid. I can cop to uttering about 80% of these phrases.

And can somebody toss me a heads-up before the Sh*t Hipster Mamas Say video comes out? Prior to viewing, I'll need to hide sharp implements - I don't think I could deal if I related to that production.

p.s. The video was posted on a great blog, mamanatural.com, and brought to my attention by my friend and fab blogger/author/fellow crunchy mama, Maria Dismondy.

Dad sitting skills

Big day Sunday. MSU vs. UM. Super Bowl. So, it was a Daddy/Daughter drool day.

This is what it looked like.
Attentive Pops, heh?

I didn't mind though. Just give me something to chew on and I'm A-OK.
Mom wasn't as tickled. Typical.

Little finger strangle hold

More strangle hold than finger wrapped, wouldn't you say?

Bounce, Dad, bounce!

Channeling Rumpelstiltskin much?

Sick but not out

A little ear infection can't keep me down.
Watch me go!
My progress thwarted only by the door.
Booya.
Crawling is just around the bend.

Snot monster

Day care babies get 9-10 colds a year. I'm proof that statement's no joke.
SNOT MONSTER!

But at my 6 month check-up, the doc said I just have to wait it out. So, I made the best of the situation and showed off my symmetrical thigh rolls.

90th percentile for height. 75th for weight.
That's 17 lbs. 11.7 oz. for those who can't see the screen.

Slightly depressed about my less than expected weight gain, I went home and marveled at my amaryllis.
Lovely.

Caberfae Peakaroo

Last weekend I traveled to Caberfae Peaks (near Gram and Gramp's Lake City cottage), to spend time at Aunt Robin and Uncle Waddy's winter wonderland chalet.

Grandma and Grandpa met us there.

We woke up Saturday to heaps of fresh snow - and it was still falling. Mr. Squirrel used his tail for cover.

Mom, Dad, Grandma and Robin took advantage of the wonderland and went cross country skiing.
Nice pants, Dad.

Photos of photographers.

When we got back, Grandma gave me a six month birthday gift... 18 month clothing. That woman plans ahead!

And we left on Sunday morning.
Catchya next year, Caberfae! Thanks for the fun!
